Comments: I saw Dr. Patel today for the first time. I had an excellent surgeon at Vanderbilt that had relocated recently and was looking for a new surgeon to continue treating the issue I was mid treatment on when my doctor relocated. Dr. Patel was absolutely what I was looking for. He was knowledgeable, understanding, kind, detail oriented and had an excellent bedside manner. He listened to my concerns and addressed every single one of them. Dr. Patel also reached out to my rheumatologist to try to help coordinate care so I could avoid having to undergo unnecessary procedures. I have to say he’s probably one of the best surgeons in terms of bedside manner and communicating benefits, risks, what to expect day of surgery and a clear picture of what recovery would be like. He also took into account that I may not be able to find someone to drive me after and discussed an alternative option to still have my surgery if I couldn’t locate a driver.
His nurse Alexis was so sweet and kind. The ladies at the front desk were very gracious and welcoming. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about anyone in that office. The whole team was wonderful and I would feel comfortable sending my own family there. I think that’s the highest praise you can give a medical office. If you an ortho I would recommend at least getting a consult from Dr. Patel
